Premier League Games 30/31 Dec & 1/Jan '23

I think teams have wisened up that if you let Kane pick the ball up with space Son will instantly make runs because he knows the pass will come. But let Hojberg and the others pick the ball up and they will pass between each other all day and there are no runs made since the ball will never come.

Will we do this though?

At this moment in time only Arsenal are playing well in the prem out of the top clubs. Spurs look shit today, awful infact.

Something has to be done about the increased stopping of play for injuries to be treated on the pitch. I'm not talking about head injuries when absolutely the game has to be stopped. I'm talking about stopping play when the player needs treating on the pitch for an apparent injury. It's taking 2-3 minutes each time it happens and the fans are being cheated. Players should only be treated when the ball has gone out of play and there should be no requirement for either team to kick it out of play. Everton used this tactic to the maximum yesterday - how many of their "injured" players could not have voluntarily left the pitch to get treatment while the game could have been re-started.
