How many non penalty goals has he scored for them? I'm guessing half a dozen, maybe?

Just checked; today was his sixth penalty out of a total of 13 goals.

I think he’ll win young player of the season the way he’s performing. He’s often Chelsea’s best player and his stats are right up there for a shite side. Individually He has been outstanding for me.

Good on him but time you get over him. Pep didn't see him good enough for a starting spot and off he went.

Luxury player, doesn't work hard enough for the team.

How is it easy to stand out for an underperforming side? If it was that easy other players would have done it, especially with all the money Chelsea have spent. If anything it’s more impressive in his first proper season.

He’s been outstanding. We could have saved ourselves 60m

He has been good, but he has also played a big part in a number of poor results for them, including today. Their issues are obviously not completely down to him, but they are also not entirely independent of him, as he has deficiencies that contribute to their struggles (along with all the others from many of their other promising by flawed players).

And there is no way of knowing if he would have been as productive with us as he has been at Chelsea. In fact, given his deficiencies within the context of what Pep demands of players to get regular starts, it is likely he wouldn’t have been.

Easy maybe the wrong word. Look at Doku the other night against England, he stood out in what I didn’t think was a very good Belgium side. Barkley looks class for Luton, Solanke at Bournemouth etc, good players stand out in teams that aren’t as good as the individual.

He’s a good player btw Palmer, I’m in the camp of it’s worked out for both him and us in him leaving.

So it doesn’t count then? What else is he meant to do then? He’s putting in excellent performances, he can’t help if the players around him have been average

If you look at his stats alone his assists are right up there with the best players, for a poor side. I agree it has worked out for both
