Premier League Games 30/31st,1/2/3/4th

Liverpool and Arsenal drop points.

After all that hoo-hah about pep being moody, we're one good Spurs result away from the perfect weekend.
A spurs win tomorrow may drop us down to 4th but it definitely would be the perfect result, Chelsea need knocking out of their stride, the top of the table will then open up nicely for someone (hopefully us) to go on their own winning run.

And to think that the media were giving Pep shit for not coaching tackles!

Defenders can't even fart these days without getting sent off and people wonder why no defenders ever get shortlisted for the top individual awards.

I remember a debate on MNF a few month back about there being a decline in top class defenders and I think the biggest factor is the way the game is governed. It is so heavily weighted in the attackers favour that it is almost impossible to defend these days.

Unless your name is Huth/Shawcross/Fellaini in which case you have license to grab, pull and elbow to your heart's content.

If only defenders could play 40+ games against us every season, they really need to relax the rules on transfers.

It's been like that from the inception of the Premier League, a choreographed tarts game !

Big Shit Big Sam
I watched the Swansea game. They were great, finally moved the ball like they used to and a bit of fight. I bet Big Fat Sam is seething, the Spanish lad that got the winner got away with a very obvious deliberate handball in the Swansea box about 10 minutes before he scored

Not to mention a goal being disallowed for deliberate handball, despite the man making every possible attempt to get out of the way of it. Quinn even said "oh he's tried to get out of the way of it but it has touched his arm, so it's a good decision". No one seems to no the fucking rules, but the referee couldn't wait to give it. I liked the "advantage" of having the ball on the half way line in stoppage time instead of a freekick on the edge of the box as well, really advantageous that.

Micheal Oliver had clearly been told at half time what he needed to do and really turned it on in the second half
And how did Xhaka not get a second yellow for the body check to stop the Bournemouth break at the end?

Even a hard fought and demoralising draw would do.

Red card + 6 minutes + Disallowed goal as handball (when he had the hand on his body) ....enough done to get 1 point and . The show goes on.

Spurs win by a goal or draw and importantly with couple of red cards for both teams ending 9 against 9
