Premier League Games 4/5/6 January 2025

To fucking right, we know five in a row is highly improbable but not impossible, you think the dips who’ve had at least three titles taken by us in the last decade after we have been counted out, won’t be keeping a very watchful eye on us. Course they will.

Remember when we chucked the towel in January 2019 losing to Newcastle. Points difference was similar to where we are now, different situation now but if we get some reinforcements and do a mid season engine change you never know.

We’re about to kill the media - our run has started. Gunners drew; dippers drew; Chelsea drew. We won. 2025 - we shock everyone
We only had a couple of good results, our games just kept deteriorating or flatlining at best. We have even moved into single digit number of shots at goal, which is ridiculous. After watching these two unsavory teams this afternoon, our energy level is around 40% how they played tonight. And matching the energy levels is the prerequisite for competing with this Liv and Ars teams. Do you remember Pep's mantra we play like a conference team without the ball. He needs to find the way to play like that again, unfortunately this set up and these player are unable to do it.

Remember that 4-3 that Sky kept replaying the Salah goals on repeat loop? The one thing I remember from that is look on the Anfield home crowd when we got the third a few minutes from full time and then attacked them again, absolute terror. Of course that was all forgotten when the full time whistle went.

Thought it was a worrying game from our point of view. (This has probably been said on this thread but I can't be bothered reading every post back)

Comparing that United display, who we all laugh at, to the pitiful, defeatist, spineless display of ourselves when we went to Anfield a month or so ago.
United set up well, did the basics of defending, got their playmakers and wide me on the ball in good positions, and created chances. We looked like we were on a mission to keep the score down from the first minute.

And to those saying we're only 12 behind now, we've no chance of getting near the top 2.

On another note, its so good to be proven right again with how shite Alexander Arnold is at defending.
Utd were very effective at subduing L'pool in that 1st half, although admittedly it wasn't pretty. We just don't turn up at Anfield in the right mindset it seems.
