We don’t HAVE to knock it around and draw them out. We could have built a team with runners darting forward when we receive the ball and play more incisive forward passes. But we didn’t and we don’t. Other teams just play quicker and attack before the opponent gets set in a tight shape. If Liverpool chose to play slowly and not more direct, they’d be against a low block all the time too.

Couldn't see it happening anyway but if this stays at 2-2 then they would need to win every remaining game to get to 100.

Staggers me how ridiculously hard to beat that record is. People think Liverpool this year have been in amazing form and they're not even close to breaking it. It's always done and dusted by Jan.

My maths shows 103 points if they win all remaining games, 19x 3 = 57, and 46 + 57 = 103.

My mistake - assumed they were on 20 games like most other teams, but you're right they've only played 19.

At least that means we just need to beat them ourselves :)
