Premier League Games 4/5/6 November '23

They tried their best to rule it out
Interesting how rivals view things. Pretty much every arsenal fan saw this as them trying everything to give the goal, rather than disallow it.

For what it’s worth, most arsenal fans also agree havertz was lucky not to see red.

For the goal. Unless you are 100% certain ball went out of play then Newcastle should get benefit of the doubt. I accept this going in their favour, right call. Having said that, why on earth don’t they have the tech to be 100% sure? But that’s another discussion.

Was it offside? I really don’t know so again i accept it going Newcastle's way if there is any doubt.

Now onto the last check. I don’t know how anyone can sit there with a straight face and say it’s not a foul. Gordon jumps into Gabriel with both hands on the back of his head, pushing him down. It’s a free kick 100/100 anywhere else on the pitch.

Bruno also smashed his forearm into havertz face as he ran past him, which should be a straight red according to the rules (because they were not contesting the ball).

Bottom line is the officiating standards in the prem are an absolute joke and it’s about time clubs/managers start calling it out more. It’s a scandal how pgmol don’t have to answer to anyone.

This benefits everyone not just arsenal.

So much wrong in this post that I’m not sure you’ve even watched the game.

Joelintton jumped with Gabriel, and no I don’t think it was a foul.

Bruno’s forearm hit Jorginho which I agree was a red, but if Havertz had seen red then I doubt this would have happened.

I agree that pushing someone in the back is a foul, but it’s unfortunately almost never given when defenders do it to attackers in the box, which I assume is the precedent they were using to justify their decision. It’s also a foul when defenders wrap their arms around an attacker and pull them to the ground, which happens at virtually every corner, but is also almost never given.

Pretty much every time we lose, a big factor is the referee allowing defenders to repeatedly nullify our attacking threat by fouling our players (Arsenal probably experience something similar).

Totally agree with your summation and think PGMOL are a joke but really enjoyed that it was you that got fucked over.

Welcome to the club.

Re the ball being out:
I cannot remember the game but another incident happened where it looked like the ball was clearly out of play, but the entire ball has to be, where they then showed the angle from above and it showed the ball was clearly not out.
Didnt see the game but if they showed this angle then it would have been obvious if it was in or not

Spurs don’t look Spursy this season. Only time will tell but they are digging results out. Maddison the difference and not relying on Kane. Think they will stuff Chelsea
We have had favourable fixtures. This is another home game against a team in the bottom half of the table. Ange is the difference.
