Premier League Games | 5/6/7 April '25

How Forest have not equalised is baffling but you can see why they are 3rd. When they attack they have so many options with the amount of players in and around the box. Dominated a very good Villa side this half.

Villa still have us, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Spurs, United, Fulham (and Southampton) to play. That's a tough run in and they'd have to do really quite well to accrue more points than us in the remaining games.

Forest's fixtures are comparatively very winnable - so I'm not too unhappy with them dropping points here. If (big if) we win our game in hand tomorrow, then they become very catchable and have no margin for error in a situation they're not used to being in.

Newcastle and Chelsea don’t have bad run ins and Newcastle have 2 games in hand at the moment

Both of these sides have pace and energy to burn and are well organised. We'll have to be at our best to beat Forest then either Villa or a resurgent Palace.
It’s all about breaking at pace from the halfway line by the look of the bits I saw.

They've got united, palace, villa, Brighton, chelsea arsenal and Everton. All those games are tricky ties.

Chelsea have fulham, Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle, united and forest. Again, all those are tricky games

The winner of Chelsea and Newcastle will probably get top 5.
Newcastle Villa draw would be handy

Most importantly:

Newcastle play Villa and Chelsea (and Arsenal)
Chelsea play Newcastle and Forest
Villa play Newcastle
Forest play Chelsea

They can't all keep winning. This is why these races are easier than title races.
5 teams, 3 spots, and there's already mathematically a minimum of 9-12 dropped points between the others in contention. Mathematically, it is in our hands if we win all of our remaining games.

If we win all our games we can still be Champions :-)

The Dippers need 2 points from there remaining fixture ;-)

Said the same thing the other day. It's also a level below a title race, none of the teams are anywhere near likely to go and win the last 8.

Beat Southampton away and win all our remaining home games and we'll be fine, anything else, including tomorrow is a bonus.

Villa, Chelsea and the Arse (who have given up the title)

Newcastle, Forest and Liverpool (who have the PL in the bag)

Its not going to be easy to qualify for CL

We are shite at the moment

This made me laugh today,

TS going round the grounds as they do and spoke with Jermaine Jenas at Palace.

Jenas on Eddie Nketiah,

"Must be the worst, embarrassing 20 minutes for a footballer"

Or something along those lines, and was said in reference to Nketiah's poor performance and sending off today.

Well Jermaine, I'm pretty sure your own antics surpassed what Nketiah did and in less than 20 minutes.
