I hope they stay up if only for Frank. I think he is an honest and pretty down to earth fella who is hard to dislike. I have no feelings towards Everton the club though good or bad. It is just Frank i would feel bad for should they get the boot into the championship.

Everton the only team to never be relegated from the top division you say.

Arsenal are the only team never to be relegated from the top division since 1920. How they were promoted is a completely different story especially as they finished 5th in the year they were promoted.

Arsenal got relegated in 1913.

Every single club that’s ever played in the top division has been relegated. Wigan were the only team who hadn’t until they went down in 2013.

I actually think it would be good for Everton and Lampard if they went down. Everton have been a stale old club for ages. Years and years of mediocrity is boring!

No team has drawn more games 0-0 in English football history than Everton.

Sometimes exactly what a club needs is a complete reset. Go down, get promoted again, and build a bit of excitement and momentum.

If course with that comes the risk of doing a City SheffWeds Leeds Sunderland.
