Premier League Games 5/6 October 2024

Wow, just seen the score, was 2-0 Spursy last time i checked.
Not really a surprise, despite winning at the Rags last week, despite playing v 10, they were awful 2nd half and almost let the Rags back into it

Kills me, that. Isn't it fucking irritating?
The other thing is when the producer chooses a cameraman to focus on a) a manager who's known for losing it on the touchline b) a player who's going through a rough time c) the worst of all, some kid crying in the stands, for just that little bit longer than you wanted (which is most of the time, as far as I'm concerned, since I don't need a long close-up of any of that guff).
All this while you know full well that an action is going on, i.e. football is being played, because you saw the keeper roll the ball out to a player to start an attack just before they cut away from it, and you're worrying like fuck as to where it's going, how far up the pitch it is, etc.

The following from the comments on the beeb site, presumably from a Spurs fan:

“Who is the leader in this Spurs group? The guy who everyone respects and you can't look in the eye unless you've given 100%? We badly need some like that.”

The last time I saw that was, I think, Dave Mackay. That dates me, doesn't it?
