I don't read too much into the three 1-1's on the bounce.
Southampton. John Stones gifted their attacker a goal with a stray pass. His headed goal was incorrectly ruled offside as Aguero was standing offside, but he was not involved.
Everton. Totally dominated this match. Their goalkeeper was outstanding. We missed 2 penalties.
Middlesborough. Played really well and totally dominated first half. Could've been 2 up at half time. SLoppy in second half and Aguero and KDB missed great chances late on to kill the game. Their late goal was a one off. Poor defending fair enough, but the chance of that cross going where it went, and being headed in by a player who had never scored before, very remote.
In each of those games City were by far the better team (Southampton not so much but still should have won). It's different to those sluggish performances from last season. If those little things in those 3 games had gone the other way, we would be sitting 4 points clear at the top of the table and the world would seem a different place. In my view we have a team very capable of winning the league, indeed I think we will, but there are a number of small things to correct. Starting with concentration.
