Premier league games 5th & 6th Nov

Pep got enough hassle for rotating a few vs Utd.......he is in a no win situation with some people

Manure away in a derby is different to Middlesbrough at home. 6 of the subs bench could of started, we have such a strong squad. Playing Zab for 2 full games after 3 weeks out with injury was insane.

I don't read too much into the three 1-1's on the bounce.

Southampton. John Stones gifted their attacker a goal with a stray pass. His headed goal was incorrectly ruled offside as Aguero was standing offside, but he was not involved.
Everton. Totally dominated this match. Their goalkeeper was outstanding. We missed 2 penalties.
Middlesborough. Played really well and totally dominated first half. Could've been 2 up at half time. SLoppy in second half and Aguero and KDB missed great chances late on to kill the game. Their late goal was a one off. Poor defending fair enough, but the chance of that cross going where it went, and being headed in by a player who had never scored before, very remote.

In each of those games City were by far the better team (Southampton not so much but still should have won). It's different to those sluggish performances from last season. If those little things in those 3 games had gone the other way, we would be sitting 4 points clear at the top of the table and the world would seem a different place. In my view we have a team very capable of winning the league, indeed I think we will, but there are a number of small things to correct. Starting with concentration.

[QUOTssible E="manimanc, post: 9817556, member: 31479"]It certainly looks like it with our away form so far this season. I'd even go as far as saying if we keep it up all season then we'll win the league hands down.[/QUOTE]

Impossible if we can't start winning at home though.

His squad is small...i think this is a mistake he has made but its one of the only ones....I don't doubt him at all for putting out that weakened team vs utd (and even then we played well and matched them) especially after the result against barca. You mention Zab but he has been back to near his best in the last couple of games and he has little choice other than playing a kid (maffeo) with Sagna injured

He likes to work with a small squad, Pep's words not mine.
