Premier League Games | 6/7/8 December '25

Commentator’s getting ahead of himself… ‘Crystal Palace win it’… it’s the 87th minute, not 97th.

Palace nick it and move into the top 4.

Tough game ahead us next weekend.

They've only won 2 at home all season and havent won after a European game all season.

Away from home they are top of the league. At home they are 15th with 2 wins, 4 draws and 1 loss.

I would be more worried if it was at the Etihad.

That's mainly where my optimism comes from, they need to win a European away game less than 72 hours before facing us, hopefully affects them.

Shouldn't the fulham goalkeeper have got a bit more protection at the corner leading to the goal? Why is it allowed that palace can have a player holding onto the keeper to stop him coming out and punching the ball away? They are going to try that against donnarumma.

That's not a new thing mate.

I think Palace might have the third best record at the Etihad, behind United and Spurs, in Pep’s tenure.

We don’t tend to do too badly at their place, not lost away at Palace since Pellegrini was here and have won 8 of our last 11 visits there.

Just seen the Brighton v WHU highlights. I didnt think handball was allowed in the build up to a goal. Have the rules been changed for this season ?

The rule has always been that is has to be in the same movement, so the goalscorer can't handball it (accidental or on purpose) and score on one possession.

He did accidentally handball it but he shot, it was saved and then Van Hecke set him up again. So it's not within the same possession of the striker having it.

It doesn't have to be a shot and save either, it can be a 1-2 with your teammate and still stand.

This is why the rule is a nonsense. It's either handball or it isn"t. If the keeper had just let it in after the incident then the goal would not have been allowed. If it's not being allowed in that phase of play, then there should be no corresponding phases.

Yeah, although it is simplified for VAR purposes which I don't mind.

To be honest, I wouldn't want this particular goal ruled out under the old rules, it hit his arm but after his leg, it was accidental.
