People seem to forget that players used to do exactly this, which is why they brought the head injury/concussion sub rules in in the first place.

Indeed. And they’ll immediately go back to it if you essentially implement a penalty to the team for a player having a head injury.

The feigning of head injury frustrates me as much as anyone—I have declared that many times in match threads and other discussions on the subject—but I also believe treating head injuries should be the priority, and rules that would discourage players from seeking treatment are regressive, not progressive.

Unfortunately, there are not a lot of mechanisms that could be used that couldn’t be gamed by teams.

I know this doesn't need to be said... but Wellbeck is not good enough for this Brighton team. He is the obvious weakness for them in forward areas. And I don't even rate Enciso that highly either.
