Indeed. And they’ll immediately go back to it if you essentially implement a penalty to the team for a player having a head injury.People seem to forget that players used to do exactly this, which is why they brought the head injury/concussion sub rules in in the first place.
The feigning of head injury frustrates me as much as anyone—I have declared that many times in match threads and other discussions on the subject—but I also believe treating head injuries should be the priority, and rules that would discourage players from seeking treatment are regressive, not progressive.
Unfortunately, there are not a lot of mechanisms that could be used that couldn’t be gamed by teams.
