Just a question does that mean it comes down to the amount of ball contact according to the rules. If the defender had cleared it over one of the stands rather than just clipping it would it still be classed as a penalty. I can understand varying degrees of contact when applying them to player direct fouls just wondering if it's varying degrees with regard to the ball too.If you want to get technical the ball was bouncing into a more favourable position for Jesus
