Premier League Games 8/9/10 October '22

Spurs Conti have to win something with that boring shit football getting the points is fine they need top four and a trophy
Hopefully he wins nowt. But occupying one of the second, third or fourth places ahead of United will do me. I don't see them as a threat to us though.

Probably still takes points of us.

How the fuck are spurs only 3 points behind us seem to ride their luck in a lot of games

Conte, as dull as it can be to watch at times, he’s very effective.

They looked like they weren’t getting anywhere near Champions League last season when he took over and they just kept picking up points and made it into the top four.

Now they’re barely playing well in games but still sitting on 20 points. It’s pretty deceptive because it’s not entertaining.

I think they’re nailed on for top 4 as long as Conte is there. He just seems to know how to amass points over time. They are not threat to us but I could quite easily see them finishing second, I just don’t think anyone is gonna get close to us by the end of the season

Spurs started of well playing some good possession football once 1 up Conti Italian defensive mentality kicked in 5-4-1 hold what we have mentality…

Funny how quickly memories fade for all us football fans, isn't it? Bournemouth got obliterated in late August. They're now a very respectable 8th, two points above the team that did it to them, incidentally.
Remember United getting slaughtered by Chelsea. I think it was 5-0, and it was definitely pre-Mourinho, in any case. (Just checked it, it was as far back as Vialli). The media were raving and drooling. I was jubilant.
At the end of the season, who were champions?

I'd always bring up the example of some random shower of red bastards getting beaten 3-0 in the charity shield in 1998 and then going on to somehow fluke a fucking treble. Scabby red rats.

Just watching MOTD (didn't bother last night). That was a very harsh decision to disallow that Brentford goal. Toney looked like he was trying not to touch the ball, and I don't think he did. Mind you, they were like headless chickens at the back so it probably wouldn't have made much difference anyway.

What is more likely…

- Arsenal maintain a title charge
- Liverpool recover and go on a run

Trying to work out what result is best for us today.

Perhaps not being sure means a draw is best.
