Premier League Games | 9/10/11/13 May '26

I just hate the fact the game has become so subjective in terms of interpretation

It wasnt a clear and obvious error, as we know that type of scramble happens in every single game

Someone could probably make a reel of 20 incidents like that over the last few weeks where it hasnt been given as a foul, even if the ball hasn't ended up in the net

Being ahead vs Chelsea, Brighton, Spurs, Forest, West Ham & Everton and not winning a single one of those since the turn of the year, is what's done us in - not a VAR call today. Onwards and upwards into the FA Cup final which needs winning
VAR call today the correct way - pen for West Ham - would have made that comment irrelevant. I agree that it's not just about one moment BUT any one of them can make the difference.

Congratulations all those Blues on here saying it's done, it's over, we lost it here there and everywhere, etc etc.

Hope you are happy with your "I told you so" attitude.

Meanwhile, proper Blues are fucking gutted with that VAR bollocks but still believe.

All to play for in my book, if we win all our games and it's not enough so be it.

Not sure what you and the ‘Happy Clappers’ don’t understand. I have said numerous times I thinks it been a really good season. A domestic cup double this season would be fantastic during our rebuild. You are in the minority outside of here if you think we can still win the league. Given the odds, would like us to get a cup double which would be a really good achievement this season. Chelsea have a week off before the cup final. More chance of the cup than the league at this stage, and don’t need any key injuries for Saturday.

'A six-minute VAR delay with 25 replays to decide which of the multiple set-piece wrestling manoeuvres was clearly and obviously worthy of punishment. A fittingly decisive moment for the 2025-26 Premier League season'.

A quote from a journo, Colin Millar of The Athletic.

Sort of sums up the wrestling debacle that pigmol has allowed to stand all season, and now alters it in the most vital game of the season.

The "check the screen" option is ridiculous. The VAR is basically saying they think the on field decision is incorrect but they don't have the balls to overturn it. If the on field ref goes to the screen and doesn't change his mind he's going to get a bollocking from PGMOL and potentially have his career impacted. The system is broken.
It's only happened once this season the ref who was doing his first ever prem game in our match, he made a decision to our advantage, var sent him to the screen but he stuck to his decision. Next week was relegated back to the efl and never been back since, can't remember his name.

Mate with the best will in the world it's done. Today was their toughest game and they just about got the three points. They've got Burnley at home and will play a second string Palace in their last game. Theyre winning both.
Even if we beat Palace we have an incredibly tough away game at Bournemouth just after a cup final. We then have to play a very good Villa side. That's before we even think about goal difference.
If we win it from here i will doff ny cap to you and everybody else who said we can still do it.

Neville was so desperate for that goal to be disallowed. Before the first replay he was banging on about a handball. When the replay showed there was no handball he suddenly changed his argument to foul on the keeper. He’s been desperate for arsenal to win the league all season. The little shit stain can’t stand to see us win it again

Yep, in the first seven days of January we dropped 6 points from three games we should have won. Those games and a few others (Spurs at home, Everton away) means weve gone from home and dry to probably coming up short.
Can’t you get it into your thick skull? We know we have lost points, many to poor decisions (spurs etc) but Arsenal have been given decisions (incorrectly) which have given them extra points.

Corners are just a fucking mess these days. Everyone grabbing and pulling shirts bear hugging and rugby tackling. It’s pathetic to watch. The game becomes less enjoyable to watch by the week!
I'm positive they will "change" the rules in Summer to reduce grappling and blocking, when they should have just enforced the rules properly from the get go.

literally WWE with these cheating arseholes - fixed wrestling. Great that the PLs hatred of city has allowed the game to descend into this skilless boring shite.

There’s definitely some truth in the fact they’ve got the physical side of corners wrong all year and should have clamped down sooner. Some of the things they let go in the box you get booked for elsewhere on the pitch which just can’t be right
