Premier League Games | 9/10/11/13 May '26

Let’s just think for a minute say this ended in a draw and we won on Wednesday night the Burnley game I’d say becomes harder simply because of the pressure to actually win the game as it’s considered a shoe in ..

I think we would cope!!

I keep seeing Arsenal with two men in their technical area. Why aren’t they getting pulled up on this ? The second guy is definitely not “close to the seating area” - he’s stood next to Arteta.

area (the dugout and marked zone beside the pitch), but there are strict limits on how many can be standing or coaching at one time. [1, 2]
Specific Premier League rules for the technical area dictate:
  • Two people standing: A maximum of two coaching staff members are allowed to stand at any given time.
  • One person coaching: Only one person is permitted to stand at the front of the area and actively coach/convey instructions. The second standing individual must remain close to their seating area.
  • Everyone else seated: All other personnel (substitutes, medics, and extra coaches) must remain seated.
  • Automatic yellow card: An automatic yellow card will be issued to a coach if more than two people are standing in the technical area at the same time. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Improvement, they had 10 the other night and Arteta practically on the pitch.

Rice just aimlessly put that into the area. He should be more level headed in situations like this.
