How does one apply the benefit of the doubt one way, but not the other??

As I said before each case should be taken on its own merit.

It isn't a stupid law. There should never be a way to score with your hand in football, taking this law away allows that.

It'll be an interesting scrap for those spots this season. More so with 5th possibly getting a place in the expanded competition next season.

It does highlight that it is possible to have decent referees, PGMOL just chooses to stick with and reward the shit ones despite them being repeatedly proven to be shit.

In PGMOL’s defence they have tried to weed out the dross but were told the fitness tests were unfair, and were barred from aging referees out, so you had fat fucks like Jon Moss waddling around 15 yards behind play for years and refs in their 50s trying to keep up with 20 year old athletes.

The rules to ‘relegate’ refs down to the football league and replace them with newer better refs are also basically set in stone, so you end up with a 1-in, 1-out setup where 1 only leave through retirement or quitting.

Not sure they have the mentality to win it. Arteta can’t handle pressure and it seems to spillover to the team.

Villa are good enough to take points off title contenders , which is great for us , but there is no chance they will stay the distance , ourselves , Goons and Dippers have experience of title races ,even better i fancy Villa to finish top four so that will piss off the Rags , Spuds & Newcastle.
The Dippers have peaked to early , they will be singing "we're gonna win the league" before Xmas day and will fall flat on their faces like the vast majority of seasons , its our duty to get our act together and stop the scouse scum preferably in the 98th minute on the last day of the season just to see the soft c*nts crying all over again.

Fair enough. No slight on Villa or their manager who is decent. On a great run of form, played exceptionally against us and got the result today.

However, over 38 games City, Arse, Dippers will finish higher than them. And Spuds and the Toon likely finish higher imo!! Emery doing a great job tho. Villa’s midfielder is strong. Mcginn very underrated

What I said, which you keep ignoring, is that each case should taken on its own merit. If, like what happened to that player, he's tripped and the ball ricochets off him as he's finding his balance, it's stupid to find that handball. Ergo, he hasn't scored WITH his hand or knocked it into convenient space as he wasn't in control.
