Did I mention I'd been on Eggheads?
Once again, the idea of Premier League matches overseas is rearing its ugly head (as reported by the BBC here <a class="postlink" href="http://bbc.in/1vPeino" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://bbc.in/1vPeino</a>).
Proposals for a round of fixtures to be played abroad, rather than an additional 'Game 39', are reported as being considered by the clubs.
The Football Supporters' Federation will be keeping a very close eye on further developments, and a statement can be found here:
<a class="postlink" href="http://fsf.org.uk/latest-news/view/fsf-statement-on-overseas-premier-league-fixtures" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://fsf.org.uk/latest-news/view/fsf- ... e-fixtures</a>

Can't do it, 10 teams would get one less home game, creating a competitive imbalance.

Don't get the objection to it myself. Time to move with the times. Would help with ffp too. Loads of other sports do it and i can imagine 2 days sat in my undies drinkin whisky and stella watching 10 matches. Also would love to demolish the scum 5-0 in the rose bowl with 90.000 plastics contemplating switching to blue.

Leveled up the next season.
Still doesn't work, would you trade home advantage against Chelsea for nuetral ground playing QPR away?

As fans no we wouldn't but am not sure that too many owners would give a flying fuck if they could see major pesos coming in

I thought it was a 39th game so we would still have all home games. I'd fancy us to beat anyone anywhere in the 39th game, the other 19 teams would dread getting us. we're the biggest fish in this league now.

No, it's one game from 38 now which is even worse. Tbh I'd have no problem with playoffs between 1st/2nd, 4th/5th and 17th/18th for an additional 3 points at the end of the season, but otherwise you can't mess with the competitive balance created by a round robin h+a format.

That's why it wont ever be a 39th game. Imagine you are a team needing to win that last game to stay up and you get drawn City or Chelsea and your rivals for relegation get to play a mid table nothing to play for side in Dubai. And that mid table nothing to play for side see that last 39th game as a great trip to the beach......

The whole idea is wrong, but clearly the PL have seen the ''success'' of the American football being played at Wembley - but that is a one off game each season. But how many people in (whatever country overseas) would go to see Stoke v West Brom?
I really hope it does not happen...... even though I'd love to see City in Boston / New York, I'd much prefer to have them keep it as it is.
