I’m guessing you’re not completely serious with that (or maybe you are!), but having heard a few interviews with him over recent months, the sense I get is that he feels he’s earned the right to not get his hands dirty anymore, that management is beneath his station and he’s a bit beyond all that now. I inferred it was more a Director of Football he now sees himself as.
Actually, thinking on, he might fancy Brailsford’s job …

Not totally serious, but their fans will start turning on Interim if they’re still 15th at Easter.

Whoever they appoint will fail with the players they’ve got and each manager payoff means less money for transfers.
