One of the things you see in nearly all of Liverpool’s players is an overdeveloped sense of self-importance. It’s something Pep has always tried to avoid in players, either entirely be avoiding them in the transfer market, or retroactively by shipping them out of his teams.

Mahrez was just playing like he *had* to for Leicester — he is nowhere near as arrogant, pompous, and narrow-focused as Salah. That is why Pep went after him and has stuck with him.
