I think it's the Liverpool owners and backroom staff who are responsible for that. They have been gaining great, great expertise in sports, including in in-game strategy. Which they also apply to transfers. They are the moneyball guys. There was even a movie about it. The are very shrewd indeed.

I do not think they are random at all. Those are the words you should emphasize while reading what I wrote (if you wish).

I don't at all think so. They have their own databases with their own metrics that nobody else knows about. They were unhappy with Klopp because they considered him too-stuck in his particular ways which they have thoroughly studied and analyzed in great, great depth. It's in the movie called Moneyball.
