Premier League (midweek) Games 4/5 April '23

Hats off to the BBC football page

FULL-TIME
Chelsea 0-0 Liverpool

It's all over in this mid-table clash.

It's the fourth goalless draw in a row between these teams.

Enzo Fernandez, just named Gary Neville's man of the match on Sky, slams a shot over from 25 yards.
He's not a goalscorer. None of Chelsea's players are though, a cynic might say.

I said James Milner's throw-in hitting Cody Gakpo's backside summed up Liverpool's game. Now Jordan Henderson's cross hits Joe Gomez, who is offside.

Halfway through the five added on. Liverpool on the ball. Now Chelsea are. Now Liverpool are again. And Chelsea again. Now there's a foul

Five more minutes for neither team to score

James Milner takes a quick throw-in with Reece James out of position but it hits Cody Gakpo's backside. Textbook this-game moment.

Almost a lovely passing move from Chelsea but Conor Gallagher can't find Mateo Kovacic. Well he could have but he didn't.

Pour out a pint for the junior assistant producer that has to put the highlights together for the Chelsea-Liverpool match.

Two very evenly matched teams that both smack of midtable mediocre.
Only difference between the two was one as got the bestest manager in world football of the last 5 yrs (according to some in the media) and the others have a novice in charge.
Like I said, very evenly matched
