Premier League (midweek) Games 5/6/7 December '23

It’s always announced as a minimum of X mins Ref indicated that he was noting the time taken for the throwin just before There was nothing excessive
I`ve just picked this up from the FA
Why is there so much stoppage time?

Essentially, there has been a change to how additional time will be calculated — in accordance with IFAB guidelines — to increase 'effective playing time'. IFAB's Law 7 states that allowance is made by the referee in each half for all playing time lost through: substitutions. assessment and/or removal of injured

Based on that perhaps (and I was one also stating it) that maybe the "old" 30 second ruling has been thrown out of the window completely ??

We will huff and puff against a resilient Aston Villa. Who in turn will roll over and get their belly tickled for Arsenal.

Luton who showed great grit tonight will someone manage to up their levels 10 fold against us. They won't give away any cheap free kicks in the dying seconds, that's for sure!
Your last bit is close but not quite, the ref won’t be giving anything against Luton in the dying seconds in case we need a goal ..

unfortunately Bellingham and Rice has been top class business in this summer for the new clubs. expensive as hell but top class.

even Rice adds some clutch goals already from DM position alongside leadership, fight, off the ball skills nd this fucker is never ever injured etc. probably will start 37 PL games as he did for WHU a lot of seasons.

Bellingham is on 15 goals + 4 assists in 17 apps for Real league and CL combined, sick.

I am looking at what we added in Nunes and Kovacic, fucking huge difference. from a position of strength (winning treble) we wasted long long weeks on getting Gvardiol over the line and also jumping from one midfield target to another until we ended up with plan F

Am expecting Nunes to show us what he can do in the second part of the season once he Gets to grips with the way pep wants him to play! Also feel we need one big signing in January!

How long did it take for those goal celebrations in the second half take ? Not fucking 30 seconds per goal I can assure you.
No idea but from what I recall its 30 secs per goal and sub.
Still don't understand in this day and age why the refs watch cannot be synced to the stadium clock. That ends the debate and uncertainty.

It’s not as if Arsenal were miles on top throughout that game. Whilst it’s disappointing they’ve won in the dying seconds (again), they can definitely be got at.

Stones and De Bruyne will make a huge difference to us. We just need to ensure we’re still in touching distance come the end of the year. Too many cheap goals are being conceded at present. We’re also far too wasteful.

Think no team will go to Luton and win comfortably it be a battle to get any points

And the referee won't give us anything as usual
