Premier League (midweek) Games 5/6/7 December '23

Feel like things at the top of the Premier League this season are sort of quietly getting defined by injuries mounting up really suddenly and teams having to slowly build their way back to form. Happened to Spurs, Newcastle, United, and City so far. Villa, Liverpool, Arsenal all due a spell soon. Games are running longer by about 10 to 15 mins and VAR stoppages are dragging on. Players are spending long chunks of the game stood about waiting for VAR, then they have to get right back on it and run harder for longer. Taking its toll on a lot of squads imo. Over half the teams in the league have got 7 or more injuries (or, like us, have lads literally just coming back). That's about a third of their squads. Can't remember a time like this before, ever, for muscle injuries and about a dozen teams being in actual injury crisis.

How the fuck we didn’t beat Spurs after tonight’s result.

And Lol at the Spurs fans celebrating a draw against us like it was a cup final win, and Spurs now getting beat by West Ham.
