Premier League officially investigating City...

Can you believe how happy Liverpool, United, Arsenal, Chelsea etc execs are now? They bringing Citys name, results, future succesess trough the dirt if they are lucky we might even face punishment if they arent we just prove we are innocent but those will be very small news in the media and probably will be in a context that next year Uefa could be checking everything again as they do for any clubs by the way under FFP.

We really need two of them fuck and suffer in Europa League next season instead of CL. Really hope Arsenal wont win EL or Chelsea and also that United finishes 6th not 5th.

If we get CL ban for next season maybe they want 5th placed team in PL to move to CL. We need it to be Arsenal or Chelsea not United.

Good point reading the statement again says to me that this is not a new investigation just a clarification that they're already looking into it.
Begs the question why bbc online,as a balanced fair and impartial organisation ..have the story as their main headline, passing it off as fresh news..and inaccurately describing it as an investigation.
Disgraceful, tabloid like behaviour.

Wish we would take the kids gloves off and do our own investigation into the Premier League, Riley and his minions and Uefa. Reports that the Var decision against Schalke was illegal due to the monitor not working but that story went quiet pretty quickly

The fans will hopefully respond positively and really back the team now. If there's an impression that their club is being attacked, fans usually respond with ferverent passion.

Regarding the bolded bit, I'm really not sure what that means. I've read that from about 3 posters here and found it off. The media isn't monolithic. As a quick example, Liverpool and Manchester United despise each other and are diametrically opposed in almost every way. Their fans despise each other and the United friendly press seems to responding to Liverpool friendly stories and vice versa, as though there's a Rivalry even there. The same is true with the Catalan and Spanish media, and many other examples.

When we begin to insinuate that the media all love "the cartel", I think it sounds preposterous. There isn't s single media member out there that likes all of the club's in this supposed cartel because among them are really heated rivals that absolutely hate each other.

I just....don't see that. On rawk, They believe that they're victims and that the press is against them. And they come up with reasons. United do the same thing and call it ABU. People here do it and say something about some cartel.

Do we really believe that? Do you actually believe that all reporters sit down in a room and decide to write negative stories about this club because said reporters are unhappy that this club shook some cartel?
For someone so articulate you really don’t seem to understand the basic concept, probably best you understand that first before trying to insinuate other fans are playing make believe with media stories.

Rag central sweating at the thought that the quadruple is still a possibility?

Raheem Sterling has had some very disgusting treatment by some members of the media. Whether that's due to race or something else, i can't be too sure. This doesn't necessarily mean that the entire press hate the football club itself.

Remember the coverage Andy Cole used to get? He was getting called a donkey when he was scored 30+ premier league goals a season and winning titles. Meanwhile, Shearer was a golden boy who could do no wrong. At a United a few years later, Sheringham got much more positive coverage than Cole. These things sometimes happen. Does that mean that the entire press in the 90s had an agenda against Manchester United football club? In my opinion, it doesn't.
What?? Who cares about utd in the 90s?? Ffs!!

Really not sure what point you're trying to make. It would help me if yoy could rephrase it and tell me what you think I'm missing.
