City meanwhile had a disappointing season. Instead of winning the league by 20 points, as every pundit in the media had predicted, city were deservedly beaten 3-2 by a team of Liverpool academy graduates, none of whom has ever set foot outside the L8 postcode. City also lost the league cup final by one goal to nil at half time before buying the trophy in the second half.

Arsenal proved however that you can't buy class as free transfer mesut Ozil helped win the FA cup.

You forgot to add that according to Pinocchio Thompson - Liverpool also scored the most goals in the Premier league.
