Present Day Football, Fans and Any Other Stuff You Hate About It!

Footballers and their incessant diving, feigning injury, forced ‘Time Outs’ while a player has a sit down, fake limping, time wasting, claiming everything is their ball, moving the ball off the mark, arguing against every single decision…

Tourists, day trippers, nobodies, half’n’half “friendship” scarves, fans wearing other teams’ colours in home sections of our stadium, fans of the opposition in our home sections, fans of opposition players in our home sections, general football visitor non-City fan (nor fans of the opposition) in our home sections when those tickets could go to a local fan, constantly ignoring and doing things contrary to the wishes of the core fanbase, calling us ‘Legacy Fans’, prioritising global ‘fans’ over local core fans, advertising themselves to global ‘fans’ yet the club having no presence in areas like Wythenshawe (the largest district in Manchester with a gigantic City following, yet never see the club active down here in any way whatsoever), Trophy Tours all over the world and never in Manchester for local fans, big groups of kids from Scotland/London/Birimgham/USA sat together in big chunks in the ground and never groups from Manchester, YouTube dickheads and OnlyFans slags being given tickets for City games when those tickets could go to proper core fans…

Incessant season ticket price rises, constant stupid match ticket prices for games, the price of tickets for kids, no new Season Tickets, no ticket initiatives for local people like Liverpool have, real lack of numbers of cheap tickets like German clubs have in huge numbers, Platinum Loyalty Points, kicking fans out of seats to create new types of areas and in some cases not giving those fans seats with people they used to sit with or not giving them seats at all, core fans who used to have season tickets not being allowed one back yet chunks of seats are available on foreign tour and foreign tout sites, despite years of fans wanting a proper home stand for atmosphere the club building one and then not making it specifically for atmosphere despite it probably being the last ever chance we’ll have to have a dedicated proper home end for atmosphere, games like the Madrid semi where tickets went to any wanker who wanted one and not to City fans, the way away ticket allocations are divided and handled with a massive issue with far far too many tickets not going to our core supporter base…

Stupid gimmicks like the Moon being associated with Manchester City when the Moon has got fuck all to do with our football club, Blue Moon banners on the pitch, a Blue Moon on the big screens, Moon crater print on kits, aliens from the Moon as mascots… we are the Citizens (look up the meaning of that word), City from the city of Manchester, aim to be Manchester City FC, not portraying us as some generic non-Manchester specific bollocks like we’re called AFC Moon or something…

Singing up to the European Super League, releasing a statement by Joel Goazer as our official statement on the matter, staying silent over the disgraceful Istanbul car park situation, sending close-up pictures of Blues invading the pitch to the press yet when Liverpool fans hospitalised a teenage girl those amazing cameras that zoomed in to pick out freckles on City fans’ noses against Villa couldn’t pick out a single one of the Lpool fans throwing things down at City fans, bringing out statements in the media reprimanding our support for things like ‘Tragedy Chanting’ or graffiti on toilet cubicles of a word City fans never use before any proof was established or where they don’t understand that ‘It’s never your fault’ is not a tragedy chant, yet never having our backs when we need them…
When are you writing part two?

Guardiola gets the blame for this, but I think a bigger part of it is the low block getting popularised as a defence for this.

Not to mention England as a country is tactically bankrupt. There are no genuinely great English managers to me.

Forgot to mention the lower block. Perhaps this sounds abit spoiled but the enthusiasm to travel 600 miles to watch a 'training' match at 70quid just isnt there anymore in me.

I want to watch a good game of football, don't care who wins ( perfer City )
Every game at the Etihad is City v a low block is boring.

I hate ffp, let owners run the clubs as they see fit

The over exploitation of the fans.
Higher ticket prices.
Membership schemes to even buy tickets.
Sky Sports/TNT subscriptions.
The above TV companies controlling when and what times matches should be played.
Clubs bringing out new shirts every season including replica, player, 3rd kits and even 4th kits.
Clubs focusing more on the corporate and tourist fans instead of their loyal and longstanding fanbases.
The main stream media being allowed to influence and whip up hatred for our club with unfounded and unsubstantiated rumours, half truths and slanderous or libellous lies.
Certain clubs who think that they have the divine right to dictate to the majority of other clubs how to spend their money and who they should buy.
The same certain other clubs who gang together to dissuade or even attempt to destroy clubs that are better run than them on the pitch, commercially and most importantly, financially.
Clubs that are not being investigated or sanctioned for accruing massive debts and being allowed to continue buying players at massive prices.
Clubs that are quick to condemn other clubs and their supporters yet have never admitted to any of their clubs and their supporters wrongdoings.
Leagues that are not run by consensus but by a cartel of certain select clubs.

It was a depressing sight on Sunday with the amount of half and half scarves, big groups of tourists milling round etc. Derby days used to be so intense plenty of hatred knocking around, absolutely none of that on display Sunday. The modern sanitised product is so shit now it does put you off going to the game

The last real Derby feeling I had must have been about 5 seasons ago. The atmosphere was 'evil electric etc'. Rags won and celebrated as if they had won the league.

The last derby I went to 2 seasons ago or last season I can't remember ! But the atmosphere was just like any other game.

yutubers being consodered experts
pundits now more interesred in being celebrities not experts.
half n half scarves.
socul media fans

Lads snorting coke in the toilets and then sitting in the family stand which is full of kids. and totally overreacting to everything that happens, roaring none stop for the entire match. Like the most angriest lunatics you have ever met. You give away a throw in and these guys react like the world has ended. They look like they are going to have a heart attack any moment. They don't look like they are enjoying it.

The use of the word "suffer" constantly in pre and post match interviews by managers. Pep is guilty of this, as well as other non British managers. No one is suffering unless they have picked up an injury and have to play on.

Agree with everything writen.....and much that hasnt been writen yet.

Most of all however, what distresses me most is the creeping, but accelerating, alienation of our loyal fan base by negative, thoughtless and could'nt careless decisions by the club.

Through out our history we've been a family club, recognised as being thoughtful, caring, supportive and protective of our own......its been a distinctive feature of our DNA.

Some of the other dislikes posted on the thread will change or disappear as fashion and trends change.

However the 'benevolent' relationship twixt the club and our fanbase should, and MUST be, SACROSANCT.

If the club want to be 'ours', it must recognise that it is on the tipping point and use 2025 as the start point to rebuild the relationship with decisive and permament actions.

Imo, this 'rebuild' should be launched and fronted by Khaldoon as our Chairman and probaly the most trusted executive at the club.

Act now please City before its too late !!

I think it's gone beyond the tipping point to be honest.
Can't see ticket prices coming down.
Can't see us being able to get seats next to each other.
The fight and price to get tickets has basically finished me of.

I think us FOC and so to be FOC are seen as not needed. We don't spend £££'s in the club shop each game, we don't do statium pre match tours. All we basically bring is our ticket price and a few beers.

“ Matchday experience “
Half and half c***s
Tossers on YouTube who sit in front of tv screens watching the game
Shit kick off times
Players who cheat , all clubs have them
Ticket prices
The media’s obsession with teams in red
Alienation of our local fan base in pursuit of money
Demonstrations outside the main stand
Police horses on the pitch
