I feel like Joe Biden is up 7-10 points in the polls and that you were obviously wrong in your assessment that he couldn't win. The problem with giving them more is that it has to come from somewhere else in the budget. So education loses some and kids don't have enough tools to get a decent education leaving them in poverty and generating more crime or social care loses out and the drug rehab or mental health clinics don't get built so police have to deal with more problems.

The US system is pretty fucked up as far as prioritising funding is concerned. Anything that helps people from the public purse, such as decent heath care, is dismissed as communism.

The amount of thick yanks I’ve engaged with on social media that thing communism equates to not being made bankrupt through ill-health is depressing. Especially given similar taxation rates as Europe. They get far less for their tax dollars (other than a super super army and space force - obviously)

I’m certainly no communist...a health service for all, free at the point of use, should be what every 1st world country aims for.
