The Republicans have always done what? It's true that Obamacare was mostly based on Romney's plan that he put in place for Massachusetts, which in turn was based on a proposal by the Heritage Foundation. And it worked, both plans significantly increased coverage. Obamacare gave millions of Americans health coverage and access to Medicaide. In recent years though the Republicans have been trying to destroy Obamacare and are actively trying to take away health care. They literally have a case in the courts right now trying to do so. There couldn't be a starker distinction.It's also not my fault you ignored questions I asked earlier.

The actual presence of detention centers isn't the issue, it's the practice of intentionally separating children from their parents and letting the facilities and conditions writ large become oppressive, which the Trump administration has carried out, that I find objectionable. I don't believe in free migration over the border either, there have to be rules, but there is a difference in the two administrations handling of the situation from a humane perspective. More important in my eyes though is the treatment of DREAMers. How are you going to deport people who have built lives in this country for 20-30 years in some cases because of a choice their parents made when they were children? It's ridiculous.
