Well that meeting went well.
It is. The US does many things badly, appallingly and still does, but it at least has a principle of liberty at its heart that it tries to live up to, even if it fails to meet its own idealised standards.
When the previous administration tried to overthrow democratic elections and pressure the courts accordingly, it failed. When they tried to pressure officials in Georgia and Michigan to discount the democratic vote it failed. That counts for something.
No matter how imperfect, the US is better than China.
