The ideal scenario is a biden win to steady the ship and then a retirement after one term to make way for a more progressive candidate who is also slightly younger.

My biggest worry about biden is that he hasn't really given me a great deal of confidence in regards to his environmental policies but I'm willing to be convinced

This WOULD be ideal, but he has no intention of picking a dedicated Progressive VP.

Unless Kamala harris grows a soul and gets onside with the people, it's looking like hers to lose as a neolib.

Well the alternative thinks climate change is a hoax, has pulled out of the Paris deal and loves fossil fuel. Anything is better than that

Agreed, which is why I'd very much like biden to beat him, but hopefully be succeeded asap by someone who is going to take climate change ultra seriously.

I'm only able to come up with one of two scenarios:
1) Corruption
2) The electorate at large is extremely unimaginative/uneducated

I'm willing to be convinced of a more nuanced answer

The guy is clearly senile, he struggles forming basic sentences.

Im not having a go or taking the piss out of him, as I’ve had family with dementia but he’s not right to be running a country.

He’s got the gig because the others were either nobodies or too left wing, so wouldn’t have beaten Trump which I get from the Dem’s POV but Biden isn’t the answer here, he needs to retire and be looked after.

He hasnt struggled forming sentences in the recent times I have seen him, even basic ones. His interview with Stephen Colbert a couple of weeks ago impressed me. What have you seen and where that gives you this opinion?

I believe he’s had brain surgery (?) which may be impacting it or it maybe the beginning of dementia.

As I say, I don’t want to be a dick about it, I have sympathy but they need to analyse is carefully, he could soon be the most powerful man in the world.

Biden suffers from a stutter which he has learned to control. Often he will appear to stumble on his words, which may be misconstrued as cognitive decline.
