It's bad in and of itself, but the timing of this one...

I'm waiting to see how much MAGA roast him for this latest stunt - it's possible.

It is not the first time Trump has tried to align himself with the Man of Steel.
In a 2015 interview with CNBC, before being elected for his first term in 2017, Trump proclaimed he would be a "Superman president".
After his father was elected, Donald Trump Jr posted an image of Trump as a bearded Superman on a fake
Time magazine cover.
In 2020, after Trump was hospitalised with COVID-19, the
New York Times reported on an idea he floated with staff to appear frail to the public before ripping off his shirt to reveal a Superman shirt underneath.
That stunt did not come to fruition.
In December 2022, Trump posted a video to Truth Social that portrayed him ripping off his shirt to display a superhero costume underneath to tease his collection of 45,000 digital trading cards.
"AMERICA NEEDS A SUPERHERO! I will be making a MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT tomorrow. Thank you!" he wrote in the caption.
Trump was illustrated as a superhero, astronaut and boxer in these cards, which sold out in less than a day.
In August 2024, Trump posted a photoshopped image of himself as Superman and Elon Musk, JD Vance, Vivek Ramaswamy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr and Tulsi Gabbard as his MAGA-inspired Justice League.
