Trump was President on 6th January 2021 when the…errr….January 6th insurrection took place.Just to clarify before I leave this thread forever as I see no benefit in reading more.
Trump took the oath on Jan 20th.
Up to then, Biden was still President.
Biden wasn’t sworn in until (for the only time);later that month.
You should try reading more. Generally I mean.

I think he made a legit mistake forgetting Obama was President on January 6, 2017 (not Biden, and not in 2021, which was of course Trump), hence his apology.Sums up how suggestible the hard of thinking are.

I understand that, but in 2017? It would’ve been Obama.Whoever is President remains in power until the new guy is sworn in.
Always on the 20th.
Jan 6th is when they confirm the result of the election.
And in 2021, it would’ve been Trump.
