Come on. It's only a countermeasure for a war America imposed on China. If you hate the tariff war, then any countermeasure is good, isn't it? What's the problem with that?

TACO Trump will return soon enough. The U.S. can’t live without Chinese shit and the Chinese can’t survive by not selling their shit to the U.S., although they’re going to try hard to wean themselves off the Dollar to the maximum extent possible.

I think it’s good for ALL countries to have a level of self-sufficiency, and to prioritize infrastructure and key industries within their financial-industrial policies. Sadly, the U.S. has attempted to engage in laissez faire, or unfettered, capitalism for so long it has killed its manufacturing base, stalled domestic innovation and is in the process of turning back the clock on climate change progress, such that the Big 3 will cede complete control to China, Europe & Tesla, in that order, for EVs and the batteries that produce them for the future.

If you don’t understand that, you know nothing. Countermeasures simply prolong the agony as parties just bid up the barriers. I expect the US will attempt counter countermeasures. Study some previous trade wars to see how disastrous they are to all parties. Why do you think organisations like the EU exist?
I notice you have nothing to say about the harm I mentioned. Enjoy the hunger you are supporting.

Just total ignorance. There are plenty of policies available which do not ramp up the war. See Canada. China is the second largest economy in the world, not some struggling minnow. 85% of the world economy is not the USA. Has Xi got a telephone?
