President Trump

But the assets aren’t. The U.S. government possesses the liabilities but its people and corporations own the vast majority of the assets. It’s the taxable income productive use of those assets provide in the form of future revenue to the U.S. government AND the printing press that are government’s greatest assets — effectively an infinite supply of future revenue or cash flow — or an “endless receivable” — that give investors in U.S. government debt confidence that the U.S. won’t default on the interest payments and eventually pay back the principal.
Yes, that’s got to be a better way of measuring it.

So Taco Trumps two day warning to blow up critical infrastructure has now been postponed for five more days.
He says because talks have been "productive".
Iranian officials deny ANY talks are taking place and Trump has blinked first.

He's in over his head. He doesn't know what to do. He's the biggliest LOSER to ever grace this earth!
Loser? He'll be on a big bonus from his mate Vlad if he keeps screwing the global economy while relaxing sanctions on Russian oil.

I think you maybe are missing the point. It’s not supposed to be a literal example. Just one written the way a football fan might understand, given that the poster who asked didn’t. Obviously not realistic as PNE can’t “print money” (the analogy being add infinite seats to its stadium in my example).

A government can always fund its interest because it can print money. But of course that drives up inflation which raises rates which means borrowers ask higher interest rates to hold sovereign debt in future, which means you need to print even MORE in an ever-upward spiral to service that debt and so on. That’s where runaway hyperinflation in some nations comes from. So you pay tax so government can service the debt at reasonable prices (rates) as well as pay for the services (costs) the government provides for you also at reasonable prices.
Well, exactly, which is why Trump was against the cost of forever wars and could see what the markets made of his new wars.

Has Congress approved that $200bn yet or has hit the TACO buffers?

Apparently whilst in the area Trump paid an impromptu visit to Gracelands yesterday. As the staff conducted the tour they referred to Elvis's martial arts skills. Trump's asked whether they fought he could have 'taken him in a fight'.
Needless to say their answer was diplomatic. Great though if they had said ' No, he would have beaten the shit out of you'.

Defence.

I think it’s (perhaps understandably) difficult for some Americans to grasp how much more profound an impact someone like Donald Trump can have on the rest of the World than someone like Liz Truss in terms of fundamentals to people’s lives such as stability, peace and living standards.

It’s easy to laugh at someone like Liz Truss when it doesn’t impact on your ability, in a faraway land, to put food on the table or even sleep at night worrying about WW3 breaking out, and so it’s simply more straightforward to be dispassionate, or even frivolous about that, than someone who represents a real threat to the wellbeing (financial and mental) of people on another continent.
Not forgetting of course Lettuce Liz was only "elected" once not twice and lasted less than 2 months not (potentially) 8 fucking years

Mad that we live in a world where we’re relying on *checks notes* the totalitarian fundamentalist Islamic terror state of Iran to fact check the American president.

I know it’s a low bar but even for Trump, to be considered less reliable than the Iranians is fucking nuts.
What’s even madder, is that it’s not even close.

As Elvis actually served in the military for two years, comparisons of toughness is not somewhere Shitgibbon should go anywhere near.

What a looney, tells one whopper after another. Trying to wheedle out of the war because Iran has not collapsed. He should have done nothing and let the Israeli’s get on with it. Not that I think the Israeli’s are any better I think that frankly they are shocking.

Iran will only become a true democracy from internal action, and that is a long way off.

He has got to be hiding all these bribes somewhere.
I wish someone could find it
He won't be making anything directly from this blatant insider trading. There will be no lines on balance sheets, or any invoices or receipts with his name on it. What this does though is greases the wheels for his and his families private dealings.

Do you really think the Trump Org's massive multi $Billion golf resort deal in Quatar would have been as lucrative had it not been for favourable foreign policy or timely anouncements that certain people are given prior knowedge of?
