City are due to present Craig Bellamy and Nigel de Jong, their new signings, at a press conference this morning, but moves for Shay Given, the Newcastle goalkeeper, and Roque Santa Cruz, the Blackburn Rovers forward, remain stalled.

Press Conference:

So Mark is Robinho leaving?
So Mark is Robinho leaving?

So Mark are you contrite over trying to sign KAKA and trying to ruin football?

So Mark have you fined Robinho heavily?
So Mark have you fined Robinho heavily?

So Mark who is in charge, you or Robinho?

So Mark are you signing Shay, Roque and Robbie before the transfer window closes?
So Mark are you signing Shay, Roque and Robbie before the transfer window closes?
So Mark are you signing Shay, Roque and Robbie before the transfer window closes?

The usual negative, repeated and repeated standard unimaginative predictable journo questions, with the usual non-informative, non-committal, 'We made a bid that was turned down, we'll have to see', 'Maybe, I don't know answers' from Hughes.

So try not to get to excited.

Spot on and all ths while we have the two boys sat next to him and when Mark does not bite they will then ask the same questions to the two new players. Now this is where you have to respect Taggart because it would be at this point he would say "your ban from here and so are you!!".
