Price of beer in Dublin pubs

If you're heading over to Dublin, and are planning to have a beer or 4,steel yourselves.....





That's just under €48 (£40:50p at today's exchange rate) for three pints, a vodka and a red bull. Now, Temple Bar is one of the more extortionate areas of Dublin, but even so; that's not a big round. 4 drinks (assuming the Vodka and Red Bull will be coupled up).

Welcome to Ireland. Dublin pub prices are criminal. €10 for a pint of Guinness. That's £8:50.

If you head out to the suburbs, you'd probably save a few bob. Some of the Dublin lads on here could tell you more. Same re what the average wage would be.

Temple Bar has always been over priced. Head away from the touristy areas and the price comes down.

At those prices, I'd be expecting 20% back. Anyway; Guinness, and Vodka/RB are chav's drinks. I'm a tad more sophisticated than that. Stella or San Miguel for me.

My missus went about 6 weeks ago for the weekend and sent me a picture of a receipt for 2x sambuca and 2 glasses of Prosecco.
