I read that Sorrento is 5 Euros (!!!) a beer but Naples is actually 2-4 Euros for a bottle.

Can anybody who has been clarify this? (pete1201?)

I'm just wondering if 90 Euros is enough for a day trip.

Sorrento
Price is €5 for 0.4 litres. But a pint is really 0.57 litres.

Napoli
The city's pretty allright, with quit a few nice sights. The surroundings of the city, with Pompei and Vesuvius make it definetely worth to visit though. In the centre, there are quit a few bars where you can buy a 0,66 bottle for 2-4 euros.

Apparently the price depends on whether you take a seat and get table service or stand - obviously standing is cheaper!

Last went 2yrs ago & found Naples to be pretty cheap. Never paid over 2 euros for a Beer. Food really cheap also. Just live on (the best) Pizza. Always, always ask the price though beforehand. Got talking to a couple checking in at the airport on our return who had been staying in Sorrento. They said it was very expensive.

Yeah I've been to sorrento, think its around the 3.50 mark but don't quote me.

Stay away from the English inn...it's a fucking shithole.theres an Irish bar called chaplins across from it which is really nice.most restaurants will serve u a few beers too.

Warning dress warm,as a coastal area be the winter here the wind will cut through u!

HI i'm from Sorrento, the bars here are expensive, especially the ones with english names, English inn f.e. (a pint not less than 4 euros, it's a touristic town). Better buy it in the supermarkets.
the weather now it's sunny in the daytime, the temperature goes down in the night until 6-7 degrees celsius.

In Naples it depends from the bars you go, but it's another world, very cheaper, but always ask before you buy.
You can sit down in some of the oldest traditional pizzeria in the historical center (via decumani), eat (EAT:) and drink for 5-6 euros
