Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

City won't issue new season tickets next season, regardless of City Matters and the fan protests, here's why.

At the start of every season City put tickets for every home game on sale. That way City front load all the ticket money, bank it, and make interest from it. If City issued 1000 - 2000 season tickets next season, they would lose 1000 - 2000 front loaded ticket sales, plus the interest. With flexi-Gold city can claw some of that front loaded money back via the £150 and £75 payment scam.

Maybe they might remove the £150 surcharge on the flexi-gold and make hose tickets season tickets?

Just making noise here I am not expecting them to do anything.

I'm expecting nothing more than a season ticket price freeze and some slight movement and realignment on match day ticket prices, especially for under 18's and over 65's. It will be a piece meal offering by City, but one that gives the CEO and the directors some wiggle room, and that they can say they listened to the fans.

Flexi-Gold and the surcharge scam will stay.
There will be no new season tickets.
All home match tickets will still be on sale from the start of next season.
And the 9 official ticket touting partners will stay.

Apart from the big matches that will be gone even before the club announce they are available, spirited away and sold for some ungodly amount before a £35 Matchday member can clear their cookies.

Obviously the tickets for the "Lesser" games will still be available if you want to sit on your own and don't take a member of your family or a friend :)

The 9 official ticket touting websites will have the first dibs on the big match tickets.

This is all Khaldoon, the CEO, and the Directors care about.IMG_1788.jpeg

With 8000 extra seats, if City can fill them, a 400 room hotel, visitor attractions, conferences, events, retail, hospitality, etc, City's match day income figure PER FAN will rocket in the coming years.

One Football match or a caravan holiday in Wales for a week this summer....hmmmm.. I've not had a holiday since 1997.
Due to illness, I've not been able to work for some time, so I obviously can't afford to watch City any more. I used to go to every home game back in the day. It was normal life for the working classes back then. It's bullshit, now. They don't want people like me.

£80 average for shitty spurs ! Lol

I've just had a quick look. The cheapest adult bog standard ticket for Aston Villa is £ 71. Priced out? Fuck yes! No wonder there's over 4000 available.

Are there any returned tickets in 313 and 314? It says Restricted Sale when I login

I have a few people I work with that have wanted to come to a game all season, could have got her the £30 tickets for the leicester and palace games, that they returned, she and her family couldn't go to either.Informed her I get can tickets for the villa game, just had a text from city saying we can buy extra etc. Told her cheapest is £71 , no way she'll pay anything like that. A local Filipino family, still await their first match, alas.

That's the position the lesser off City fans are in mate, instead of getting her and her children hooked on City they will price them out instead.

In what fucking world do they think it's acceptable to charge this for a game, they are having a shocker along with most other clubs, the sheer greed of the clubs has got way out of hand now, cheapest tickets should be 30 quid max and that's for an adult, kids no more than 15

Upsets me big time what the club have done in regards to pricing out our core support. We have definitely reached the tipping point now. In our group , we have gone from a solid group of 15 lads to 2 or 3 of us. Simply down to lads being priced out and lost the habit of going to games . Been listening to a few podcasts such as 93;30 and Ian Cheesenan talking about the situation and it breaks my heart out to listen about of all of the ‘good will’ from the likes of 1894 group , the foodbank and the likes of Alex from City matters and the club continue to ignore our pleas .
I can’t shake off my ritual of going games and luckily have a season ticket but I’m completely falling out of love with the whole game . The match day buzz has completely gone . Seeing memories pop up on my Facebook feed of City fans in Barcelona having a ball dancing in fountains and the first few trips to Wembley etc… them days just seem to have evaporated . Felt jealous watching the Geordies last week, just reminded me of the Stoke game . We’re still quite vocal in block 111 but it’s a shadow of its former self , the concourse used to always be bouncing with songs . Don’t even hear any songs being sang anymore even for Derby Day .
I just go out of habit now. Saying that the football we play isn’t helping that. So dull.

Not sure what they’re playing at with Villa, unless there’s some sort of glitch?

It says ‘restricted sale’ even though it also says ST holders can buy three extra.

Also tried logging in on a paid up member’s account, who hasn’t bought one yet, and it’s still not allowing it.

And this is why the club don't want season ticket holders. £71 x 19 = £1,349 (I am aware some games may be cheaper but some more expensive). The season ticket for that seat might cost £710 (based on block 117), club can generate £600+ extra. Multiply that by 30k seats and it's another £18m!
