Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

I agree about the players wages they are eye watering. Actually disgusting.

This myth that's been peddled about FFP as justification for raising ticket prices is ridiculous. Haalands wages are 500K a week. Not 5, not 50K, 500K. Basically it'd cover everybody's season ticket for the next 15 years for what he is paid in a week. Music to the club's ears this FFP/PSR excuse. At least some executives are getting some juicy bonuses on the back of it.
Actually £525 per week before bonuses. I think out success has masked the actual turnover when you take away the prize money. I read 58% wage to revenue ratio. But we have generated alot over the last 7 years as been in the CL upto the final stages and sold a fair few youngster. Be interesting to see the accounts next year.

The gooner is probably use to paying over 100quid a game
An Arsenal season ticket in the equivalent area to 109/110 is £1073, compared to £890 at ours. But their season tickets cover 23 games, rather than 19, so very comparable pro-rata, with only a 20p difference per game.

And Arsenal member will pay a figure sum for the best seats at a Category A game but in their 109 equivalent blocks can get a ticket for a Category A game for £74.30, which compares to our £73 for tonight in 109. And they'd pay £30 for a Category C game, whereas our lowest price would appear to be £51.

Always thought the gooners paid alot more than us.
It's crazy our pricing system. Sadly I'm another who's 99% certain has been to his last match now.
Was due to go to both the villa and wolves games but can't do week games :/
Seems my last game was Brighton :(

We certainly have some much cheaper season tickets but overall we're very comparable with our peers' prices and often more expensive.

Its this sort of stuff that the clubs are banking on. The rivalries are the main thing stopping a huge collective effort to do something about the spiralling ticket prices.
To be fair, there’s a lot of collective unity between fan groups across the league and the advice, info, etc, that they’re sharing with each other has been key to several groups getting concessions from their respective clubs.

The way I see it - our costs are still comparable to teams in London (ie football wage bill) so should be no differential in ticket prices, yet from your analysis - Arsenal fans may be better off with pricing. Actually having clear defined categories will be a good start.

There is a perception people in London are paid more than us so should be able to afford higher prices,I'm not sure that is true. All my wife's family are down in London and apart from a few of her relatives who have very good jobs the rest are just about doing ok even with reasonably good jobs.

I think all clubs will end up having similar prices, hence an independent regulator may help trying to get the fans views across.

You will always get one or more knobs on X posting comments like that. They get clicks, likes, and a small following. They might even make a few pence from X?(and Musk)

this is exactly why nothing will be done to change it. rival fans should come together to stop disgraceful ticket pricing but it'll never happen due to the rivalry between clubs. there's united fans mocking us on the quotes to amos' tweet, i'm sure they were all protesting about the £66 tickets that sir jim introduced this season though
Ask the gooner and rag how much does it compare to trophies won?

Absolute fucking idiots. I know the social media handler hasn’t got much to do with ticket prices, but surely they must have some awareness that the fan base is completely fucked off with City robbing us.

It’s almost certainly not even a club employee. It’ll be some 25 year old who works for a brand agency with zero knowledge of football.

You can always tell when a something’s been posted by an agency, it’s usually this sort of detached generic nonsense with no deep knowledge of the audience.
