Priced out?

no, city made a decision bassed on what was best for the club, either to be left behind or join the elite, they had no choice but to go ahead, it wouldnt have been any diferent if the other clubs had been Burnley, Brighton or wolves etc
Unfortunately they had pound signs in their eyes that blinded them to the opportunity of some brilliant PR. It was never going to get off the ground in the format it was in, as well as being despicable, it was amateurish, and all a bit crap, it didn’t take a genius to see it.

If City had just held their nerve, 48 hours later we would have been holding our heads high. Unfortunately the truth I suspect, is that Khaldoon and Sorriano are as keen on a Super League as the rest of them.

I'm afraid we colluded with them in secret and went for the money.
This is one of the realities of football. Clubs DO collude.

Khaldoon has done a wonderful job in transforming our Club and (with the Sheikh) improving our lives. There was always going to be the odd mistake along the way. We may be suffering a bit at the moment but it’s nothing compared with the shambles at the swamp.

So as I always say on here I’m a hardcore forest fan and it’s my daughter that’s the city fan. I took her to the city ground Boxing Day and the atmosphere at the city ground absolutely destroys the ethiad as we’ve not got the day trippers there yet. Don’t see half and half lot either. My take on it is city are a victim of their own success a bit as it’s attracted people who want an experience. I’ve been in hospitality in city and honestly ,I’d rather be sat in amongst real blues in a plastic seat when we are at the ethiad. The ethiad could be absolutely rocking but the atmosphere in concentrated mostly in the south stand. The pricing is absolutely crazy. I pay between 45 and 55 for games at the city ground. Against Liverpool next month I’ve paid 52. My mate and husband went to city Boxing Day on mine and my daughters memberships and she text me to say her and her husband had a “fantastic experience”and sent me a video she took of the players coming out the tunnel and that sums up a fair few city ticket buyers. I’m not sure what the answer is but a start would be new season tickets in the new north stand extension. People will reach a tipping point in terms of ticket pricing and empty seats shows that. Tickets at the city ground are a closed shop, but there is a novelty factor at forest at the min after so long out of the league. We are watching city on the box today and will be back at the ethiad Saturday. First time we went to the ethiad I was amazed at the half and half sellers at the top of the tram steps. If I were a commercial manager at city , I’d have that stopped immediately. Then I’d be mobilising teams to stop ticket reselling on city premises. Finally, this has to be one of the best fan forums there is. Great debate and people not acting like kids. Hope city and forest win today.

They're helping me get through this tough run I must admit.

Great post. Greed is destroying our once proud fan base .The club would rather have empty seats than reduce ticket prices. My son couldn't go on boxing day so put the ticket so ticket exchange with the club He got his £30 back and the club resold it for £68.As a business model it great for the accountants, but it would not cross anyone's mind at the club to let the ticket go for the same amount they gave my son
God knows what the plan is for selling tickets in the North Stand
Should imagine the cup game against Salford will sell out at the ticket prices are very decent

As each passing season goes by we become more like the rags, now I know us legacy fans might find that offensive but some of our newer fans would switch to another club if the club was trending hugely on their preferred social media platform.

The club feeds into this by employing youtubers to celebrate with the players and employing a digital arsehole who describes us as a "New brand", posters on this very site defending the rising ticket prices as a natural consequence of success, it isn't and it shouldn't be.

When I see our campus and all the trinkets I wonder to myself "Who the fuck is this for?".

Don’t forget your son might wait forty five days before the club decides to pay him his money .
