I can think of at least 2 people on this forum who (in the last week) have posted that they have saved money as a result of the restrictions. There will be a lot more because it’s not a popular comment to make. What ???
no "gainers " in the part of Greater Manchester i live in
Do you feel as though the club is in touch with us fans? I don't. I feel as though I've been made to feel less important year on year and the club care more about attracting new customers than retaining old ones.Greed and the will to make up for lost income will be the likely outcome imo, many clubs may offer an initial incentive, but I honestly believe, like a lot of other businesses, they will misjudge the public’s stance on it and go the wrong way, maybe not MCFC so muc, I think we’re a little more in touch with the fans, but other clubs may well do.
Like they say , “a fool and his money are soon parted”, I won’t be one of them.
2 people on this forum are not enough to to say " there are as many gainers as losers, financially, from the pandemic."I can think of at least 2 people on this forum who (in the last week) have posted that they have saved money as a result of the restrictions. There are plenty of people who are struggling too, of course. My income has collapsed but good luck to those who are doing OK. Some of the people I worked with have stopped working because they are being paid enough to live on through Government self-employment grants.
So how then are you in a worse position to buy, for example, a season card for next season? The issue being discussed is whether there is an economic case for reducing season card prices because of the pandemic.2 people on this forum are not enough to to say " there are as many gainers as losers, financially, from the pandemic."
Iv been in work all through this pandemic and saved money purely by not going to football, the same as say,a rugby fan not attending their chosen sport or someone eating at home because restaurants have been closed, that can't amount to say i'm a " gainer "
a lot of people have been treading water at best in my area of Manchester,a lot are also in deep shit.

FWIW, I think it would be great if the players took a pay cut to reduce the price of tickets.
Don’t agree with the Pep bit but otherwise you are right. I keep switching our games off. Part of it is no fans there though. VAR is the main thing though. It’s killed the game.
Did you just notice on Saturday?I hope I'm wrong on Pep but I'm not sure the players are playing for him anymore.
Saturday was awful.
