Like the album he did with Raspberry Beret on it - Parade - but Sign is up there with it.

Remember seeing him in the round on the Sign tour at Birmingham NEC - one of the best gigs I've ever seen. The Cross was absolutely epic

I went to that it was fantastic

Wasn't it just?

Pretty sure he had Wendy & Lisa with him. And for some reason i think he was playing basketball on stage too. Just remember the atmosphere & crowd reaction as amazing that night.
A long time ago!

That was the Lovesexy Tour 88....went there not realising it was going to be in the round, and our 'ok' seats suddenly became 'fantastic' seats.
Great show....

Also love the Parade album too. Musicology is his best in recent years.

Saw him at maine road,, he was excellent, the only thing missing was he dint have a City shirt on.

My brother in law loved Prince. Has all the albums and tortured me with them. I could never get into the whole Prince thing. He did some decent songs like the one about the beret but just found him too narcissistic. Don't class myself as either a music expert, not even a decent judge, or a music snob - I have some proper crimes against music in my collection.
However, it's what you like that counts I guess. I'll have to stick with the Wurzels and Chas n Dave I suppose.

The Nude tour which involved Maine Rd was as boring as fuck. Wish I'd seen the Lovesexy tour.

Saw him at the O2 and he was incredible.

Right you are, thnx for the correction - seems so long ago. He did a movie of the Sign tour didnt he?
In fact not sure he even toured Sign here did he?
Anyway, great music regardless

Yeah, there is a Sign movie out there, I had it on two videos, but not on dvd.

I don't think he did tour Sign over here at all.

One of my favourite gigs of his was about ten years ago, when he did a (for him) intimate gig at the Apollo....he did a take on Whole Lotta Love that gave Zeppelin a run for there money....superb.

Lovesexy was on two videos and SotT is available on DVD. I got a copy free with a newspaper a few years ago ;)

A true artist, one of the all time greats. Grew up listening to him in the 80's and followed his career ever since. Like all artists he had the odd "iffy" spell but unbelievably talented, not just the songs that he is famous for but the songs he wrote for others.

Feel so sorry for the youth of today, One f**king direction,!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
