Printed name shirts

Do I remember reading that the club aren't responsible for changing personalised shirts if the player leaves or takes a different squad number?

Top Paragraph.

I suppose you could go down to the store and put your case to them. If you don't ask, you don't get I suppose.

There you go, an apology from Joe himself-

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2012/August/25-to-1-Joe-Hart-changes-number" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/20 ... ges-number</a>

City and England stopper Joe Hart has changed his squad number from 25 to 1 ahead of the new season.

Hart has won the Golden Gloves award for the most clean sheets in the Premier League for the past two seasons with 25 on his back but fortunately Joe’s not the superstitious type and doesn’t believe that changing his numbers will bring any adverse effects in 2012/13.

“I don’t know why I changed it, I just fancied a change but it’s only a number at the end of the day,” said the Shrewsbury-born stopper.

Joining Samir Nasri as one of two squad members to change numbers, Hart has apologised to any young City fans who’ve already invested in goalkeeper shirts with 25 on the back.

“I actually decided at the end of last season to make the change, so I’d just like to say sorry to anyone who already has 25 on their shirt,” said Hart.

Nasri swapped his 19 shirt for the number 8 which was vacated by Shaun Wright-Phillips after his move to QPR.

Of course, it’s not the first time that Hart has worn the number one jersey; he is now firmly established as England’s no.1, thanks to a string of rock-solid performances in the summer’s Euro 2012 tournament.

At the relatively young age of 25, Hart is already one of the elder statesmen at City, having signed for the club from Shrewsbury six years ago. He has made 165 appearances for the Blues and has been an ever-present in the Premier League for the past two seasons.

The number one shirt has been vacant since Shay Given left the club for Aston Villa in 2011.

Hey, I have two questions regarding shirts.

1) Is there any difference between Mens and Youth shirts? As I'm a teenager so I'm strapped for cash.

2) Also, I'm ordering from a catalogue so am I able to go to the city store and pay for printing and a pre-bought shirt? I was hoping to get the printing before I got watch City vs Chelsea

Its a pretty meaningless apology from Joe to be perfectly honest.

If he knew at the end of last season that he'd be changing squad number, why were fans not informed before they were charged money to have an obsolete squad number printed on their shirts.

I've never had a players name/number printed on a shirt, so it doesn't affect me, but knowing what kids are like, there will be a lot of parents facing a clamour from their kids now for a replacement shirt.

I don't know how many people would be prepared to make such a big deal of it, but seeing as Joe has himself admitted that he knew the number 25 shirt would be obsolete from the end of last season, could that have left the club open to challenges for mispresentation of goods or something similar?

1) If you are older than 12 and of average height/build you will not fit into a youths shirt.

2) Pretty sure you can just pay for printing on any pre-bought shirt in City store.

There have been plenty of posts on another of the shirt threads that they have been exchanging shirts with the right number for both Hart and Nasri in the City stores, as I'm not in Manchester I can't verify this, just repeating whats been said.

I never chose a player number or name before September 1 so as to avoid last minute player sales.

I would just wish that the City 7 was someone more glamorous than Milner which is my number when I play
