What she told the court was not true, and the court is expecting an explanation.

She didn't read the papers fully as she was too busy attending a Downing Street party.
And the Ukraine crisis means the piss-ups are irrelevant, therefore Priti Patel is innocent.
I think that's how much of the media, and the electorate, work.
