Problem With Plumbing - Advice needed!

Have you checked the durgo valve? It could be stuck open - I'm in South Wales this afternoon and can call round and do it for nothing if you like ? I know a way of doing it without making holes in your wall which many plumbers do to save a few minutes of their time - the way they do it leaves you with another job to get sorted.

Already done mate, but thanks for the offer :)

There was literally no way of getting to it without going through the plasterboard wall. The soil pipe for the bathroom on the middle floor doesn't go up any further, couldn't go down from above either. The durgo was knackered by the looks of it, so he replaced the thing. For the amount he charged I don't mind, just going to stick an access hatch in where the hole is (it's quite high, and in a corner). That way it's easy enough to get in there in future if necessary

Indeed I am! I asked the plumber that we got the 2nd opinion from, and he said the only way that they could possibly justify the quote was if they ripped out the entire soil stack and replaced it! Needless to say, I left them a particularly shitty review on Yelp and any other online ratings site I could find them on!

We need to replace our shower cubicle it is a quadrant shower.
Question is will we need a new tray or are they standard.
