Ive just aquired a Geforce nx7300 TD256EH. Ive tried lots of software from different location but what happens is I clean the old driver off. Turn off the pc and put in my graphics card.
I install the new driver and then the pc restarts. Windows starts up and it comes up New hardware found "Nvidia Geforce 7300 LE"
I click the speach bubble and follow the step by step wizard. It installs the new driver but when it gets to the end the pc restarts itself. Windows comes on at it just repeats the previous step "found new hardware".

any idea's. i just cant seem to install it :(

Can you test the pc with a different graphics card , to make sure the new one isn't faulty?

Try installing the drivers manually, open up the driver cd, find the exe and run it.

Download the latest drivers from nvidia

well my last one decided to set itself on fire so i dont really have another one other that the on board one which works fine. Tried all of the above tho :(

sorry mate, thought you were closer to home than that. Would have tested the card for you.

Can you try the card in another machine to test it?

If you've tried all of the options it does look like the card is faulty at this point. Last thing though, if your old card was ATI and not nVidia have you uninstalled the drives for that? If both cards are nVidia it doesn't matter.

If it was ATI remove the drivers in Safe Mode, F8 at start up, then reboot.

hope this info helps,

Download this...

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guru3d.com/category/driversweeper/</a>

Re-download the drivers from the below link depending on your OS. I know you are probably adamant that the drivers you have are 100% bob on, but i would do it anyway as i had a corrupted driver set from a download once and it caused strange issues like you are getting: -

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=130&prod_no=835" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downl ... rod_no=835</a>

Let me know how you get on.

dont install from the pop up wizard after you reboot...when given the option cancel, also look for a file called nvidia in your c drive or c drive/program files and delete that ....now install the latest nvidia graphics driver you downloaded
