Just home and clicked on to the forum via Google Chrome browser for the iPad and I had been logged out and was unable to log in? When I hit the log in button, it took brings up the user name and password field, but when I clicked in to the field to enter my username, it directed me to the register as a new user page?

Anyone else had this problem.

Currently logged in using Safari and it's utter dogshit!

Follow the steps below and then give it a try:

How do you clear the cache in Google Chrome?

1. Click the Tools menu. (the wrench in the upper-right corner)

2. Select Options.

3. Click the Under the Hood tab.

4. Click Clear browsing data…

5. Check the boxes for the types of information you wish to delete.

Clear browsing history
Clear download history
Empty the cache
Delete cookies
Clear saved passwords

You can also choose the period of time you wish to delete cached information using the Clear data from this period dropdown menu.

6. Click Clear Browsing Data when ready.

It appears that after realising I'd had to use safari, chrome got embarrassed and has now let me log in.

Thanks for the tips Danamy, will try it next time.

For anyone else using Chrome, for some reason Google don't let you set how much history to retain automatically with the result that if you don't clear it on a regular basis it'll go on collecting data for ever. There are various extensions that can change this.
I use https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/history-limiter-custom/ibpfkplbhnbiklpjacjbaelahebmbmpp and set it to just 2 days worth. The more history you have in the cache then the slower (potentially) the browser and possibly more problems as above.
