Just reading the Agenda thread and it got me thinking about City's' business in the transfer market. I accept the academy players have been sold at a profit but what about players we have bought and then sold.

Since Paul Stewart I can only think of Georgiou Kinkladze we have actually bought and then sold at a profit, there must be more but I am racking my brains to think of them. Can anybody help?

Adam Johnson - didn't we buy him for £7m and sold him for £10m?

I thought it was undisclosed but that could be one player we did make a profit on. So were up to three since 1987.

That one for me is a bit debateable as he came through the academy and so was developed at City, more like a kid released early.. But that could well be argued.

Wikipedia says 3.1 million euro profit so yes that is added to the list.

There's actually probably plenty (Paul Stewart comes to mind) but is it hugely important?
