promises about to be fulfilled

Will be Thursday or Friday before the next signings announced.
Why, because it always is with city's transfers.

bombo you heard any news lately mate?

no eddie just the same info I've been passing on that we want ibra with robbie swap, if not then dzeko, also milner and balotelli. My contact still maintains torres was not gonna happen and that bale was our first choice for left back. The list of players I posted ages ago but not heard anything new I suppose the world cup may add a few names to the list but I've not been told any new names.

listening to Noel Gallagher on "talkshite" the other day, when he intermated that we would be just as surprised about transfer outgoings as transfer incomings...
DROGBA FOR ROBBIE, ANYONE?.......

.....Then again, Just heard that Wollfsberg have lowered their asking price for Dzeko, so, maybe not.

So our eternal wait for our brighter future grows tantilisingly closer bye the second.

How does that work then? An eternal wait is errrrrrrrrrrrr ..... eternal!!

Can I suggest the phrase "excruciating wait"!!

Or you could add "seemingly" which captures your untended meaning whilst also being literal.
